Contributions ... LSU supporter Ed Dumaine III and wife Mia, host a crawfish boil & birthday party every year and invite 150 or so friends to attend. A couple of years ago they decided that Ed did not need any more "gag" gifts or bottles of alcohol or other things for which he has no use. So, on the invitations for his party he asked that instead of something for him, the attendees bring a new toy, book or clothing to be donated to Santa Claus Incorporated. In addition, they requested that the toys be in the $10-$20 price range so that more children could be served -- of course they are encouraged the guests to bring as many of the mid-priced toys as they wanted. This year's haul took an the size of an entire pickup to get the donations to the Santa Claus, Inc. warehouse. Cash donations help provide funding to purchase new clothing, new toys, and new books for our annual Santa Claus, Inc. distribution in December. Cash donations also help us to maintain our Santa Claus, Inc. Workshop as well as fund basic obligations.
